The mission of the Kate Shea Foundation is:

To provide funds in Kate's memory to select Leukemia research organizations that help
     individuals affected by this disease.

To provide financial assistance to further the cultural and academic education of
youths as they strive to understand and accept global diversity as a reality.

Kate Shea was an inspiration to so many by living her life in an open minded and generous way. She was simply a beautiful person... sister, daughter, and above all, a loving friend to so many.

Kate passed away at the young age of 25 years from Leukemia.

The Kate Shea Foundation was started by her friends who, in turn and awareness, are committed to fighting the battle against Leukemia in her memory.

Kate Shea Foundation is able to raise funds to support Leukemia research and awareness as well as further the education of our youth through fundraising events and the generosity of those who believe in the importance of our mission.

Thank you for your participation at the Kate Shea Foundation Blood Drive this past Sunday July 29, 2007.We were able to help save 126 lives from our collective blood donations alone!

Thank you to those who came out to enjoy the 42nd Street theatre event. A great night was had by all and $4,000.00 in funds were raised to go directly towards our mission.
